Loire extends high speed lines
Loire is ahead of time as compared with national averages: end 2003 83% of the population will have access to a high speed line and 91% end 2005.
As is the case with other departments in France, Loire is also testing alternative high speed technologies based on WiFi (Wireless Fidelity) satellite connection. WiFi technology allows high speed cordless IT networks to be set up and for users, be they companies or individuals, to have cordless connections to several networked computers.
