ARUFOG : Association for Research and Application of Optic Fibres and Guided Optics (Association pour la Recherche et l'Utilisation des Fibres Optiques et de l'Optique Guidée), technological platform for research in optics and industrial applications on an international scale.

The Technical Centre for Mechanics (CETIM) in Saint-Etienne is one of the three centres in France alongside of Senlis and Nantes.
