Site criteria
Quality criteria
Criteria to be specified by the contractor
 Quality criteria :

Support and after sales service :

A single contact is given the task of welcoming new arrivals and assisting them with their various formalities (be they of a technical, administrative or aid-related nature). He/she will also offer ongoing support to companies once set up (collectively and individually) and help resolve any problems arising in the business area.
This contact will be clearly identified and may be contacted during office hours.
Site allocation procedure :

The town planning documents (including the area planning document, etc) should give details of the various purposes of the area and identify the sites geographically, especially for commercial activities. They should detail the resources deployed to meet the collective requirements of companies setting up there.

The planning document should guarantee businesses of co-habitation conditions in keeping with their business and their image (for example: commercial and industrial activities should be kept apart from one another). For the local residential areas, the size of the operation means that the inclusion in the area planning document of the various business types is not always adopted. On the other hand, the proposal should give general details of the main points involved.
Signposting :

LThe signposting should be designed in a coherent manner in order to clearly identify and facilitate access to the area.
The business area should be easily identified on the main communication routes both for cars and heavy goods vehicles.
Advance signposting and road marking, etc.
Identification should be a simple matter at the entrance to, and inside the business area.
Quality features of common areas :

The contractor must carry out a prior landscaping survey.

In his draft project, he should give details of the landscaping recommendations, (for example concerning the planting of trees and the choice of species, etc) the implementation of which is incumbent upon him, including the entrance to the area, the roadside and common areas (parking etc). The features of the roadside and the road itself (for example pavements, etc.) should be clearly detailed.
Generally, the landscaping should be carried out when the area first enters into service (grassing and tree planting).
Private areas:

A coherent appearance between public and private areas should be favoured and should be achieved via consultation between the designers of the projects. The planning rules of the area will lay down the architectural recommendations, the layout requirements for each plot, and conditions related to storage or warehousing in the open air (which must be well hidden), in order to guarantee a top quality image for the area.
The collection and processing of common industrial waste:

The storage and removal of waste must be planned and organised in such a way that the company is not required to store an excessive amount of waste on its plot and that what waste is stored is carefully hidden from view.
Adapted and reliable networks (among which water purifying plants) :

The project must describe precisely the different networks, their ability to welcome compagnies, and especially the reliability of electricity and I.T networks, and fire safety.
